our standards

Our practice follows the guidelines as set out by the British Dental Association, with regard to cross infection and health and safety.

We are currently implementing the latest standards. They not only ensure high quality treatment but are also easy for our patients to understand. See what you think at National Standards for Dental Services.

Quality assurance programmes

Our systems ensure that we consistently meet high standards of dental care and clinical governance. We also participate in Clinical audit, Peer Review, Clinical Governance and continuing postgraduate dental training. We all complete the statutory 50 hours of Dental Postgraduate training every year and travel far and wide to increase our knowledge on the latest techniques in dentistry. We are also registered with the General Dental Council for continuing professional development.

Health & safety precautions

We would like to reassure our patients that all necessary precautions are taken to safeguard both patients and staff from cross-contamination. Disposable items are used where possible and all dental instuments and handpieces are sterilised at very high temperatures in accordance with health and safety requirements.

BDA good practice award

We are very proud that our practice has held the British Dental Association Award consistently since 2008.

The BDA Good Practice scheme is a quality assurance framework for U.K dental practices. By being a member of the scheme, our practice demonstrates a visible commitment to providing high quality dental care to nationally recognised best practice standards.

Private dentistry awards

Again, something of which we are proud was the shortlisting of PDC Dental Penistone and PDC Dental Barnsley in both the Private Dentistry Awards 2010 and the Dentistry Awards 2009.
